Comfort
In terms of comfort, you can expect the package that you buy to include a Suunto Dual Comfort Belt that will allow you to accurately track your exercise data without any sort of hassle or discomfort. On top of this, the heart rate monitor for the device has been lauded by many reviewers as being comfortable. This is especially important, as tracking heart rate is one of the most common and important elements of tracking fitness data. Again, you can expect all of the same features you’d find in the other big name multi-sport watches, just at a much more reasonable price here.
Size
s Available; You should know going in that the Suunto Quest is only offered in one size, but this one size will fit most people without a problem. Suunto definitely could have offered the watch in more than one size or featured a way of adjusting the sizing, but that would have likely increased the price, which Suunto apparently was not comfortable doing. Instead, you have a watch that will fit most wrists and appeal to the largest number of athletes.
Accessories
When it comes to the Suunto Quest, you do get the Suunto Movestick Mini, the Suunto Dual Comfort Belt, and the Suunto Foot POD Mini. You can also make use of plenty of different apps and other things that will further enhance the functionality of your device. The Suunto Quest packs much more into its tiny frame than you’d expect, making this a surprising little device that will easily track your data and stay unobtrusive enough that you can use the device for just about any type of activity at all.
Style
In terms of style, the Suunto Quest multi-sport watch is fairly plain and unadorned, so those who are primarily looking for a fashionable watch might want to look elsewhere. With that said, the Suunto Quest does have a simple, minimalistic look that will appeal to people who have a more classic taste. The watch is still aesthetically pleasing, just maybe not as ostentatious as most other watches you might find out there. This would also be a good choice if you’d like to wear this multi-sport watch around everywhere you go to maybe count your steps, as it looks almost exactly like a regular watch.
Activities
In terms of activities, you can expect to be able to use this watch in any activity involving running, and you can even swim in it, though you should know that the heart rate belt is not capable of transmitting in water. It’s not clear if this watch would stand up to a mud run, but it should work just fine for cycling, running, and swimming. Since these are the main activities that you’d be engaging in if you’re competing, this watch should do you just fine. The Suunto Quest is a great watch for covering most activities.

Advanced Features
In terms of advanced features, the Suunto Quest can, in fact, track your heart rate and speed as well as your running cadence. It can even keep track of VO2 max, which is not something that you’ll see from just any other watch out there. There is also water resistance up to 30 m or 100 ft. There isn’t as much data out there on some other features such as stride length and vertical oscillation, but this watch is capable of many of the things that you’ve come to expect from a modern multi-sport watch. If you’re looking for a capable watch, the Suunto Quest is a great choice.
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, you can utilize the USB memory of the Suunto Quest in order to upload data that you’ve accumulated during your workout. You can also sync up with third party websites that also track your exercise data, allowing you to set specific goals for yourself that will keep you continuously improving upon your old times so that no matter what sport you might be competing in, you’re excelling and allowing yourself to stay competitive. As such, this is definitely the watch for you if you’re considering to compete in a race.
Ease of Use
Many reviewers have noted that the Suunto Quest is quite easy to use and intuitive as well, streamlining the whole process of tracking your exercise data. One of the downsides to having a multi-sport watch with a cluttered touchscreen that features all sorts of menus is that it can be very easy to get lost in all of the information, making it hard for you to focus on your activity and quickly access the information you need. With the Suunto Quest, however, you have all of your pertinent information at a moment’s glance.
Power Source
In terms of power source, the Suunto Quest does make use of a rechargeable battery so that you can easily use the watch for long distances before having to recharge before your next trip. Since the watch doesn’t offer much in terms of bells and whistles on the screen, the battery will last you quite a while before a charge compared to other multi-sport watches on the market. And thanks to the simple, classic design, you can easily use this multi-sport watch as your regular watch, saving you even more money in the long run.
Accuracy
The Suunto Quest multi-sport watch is quite accurate, and that’s due in large part to the relatively simple setup of the watch. While it might not be as aesthetically fancy as some of the other multi-sport watches out there, the Suunto Quest does a perfectly fine job giving you accurate data when it pertains to your workout. As such, those who highly value aesthetics over performance might be disappointed with this watch, but those who are more looking for a watch that can just get the job done will be pleased with the Suunto Quest.
Face
The face of the Suunto Quest is quite plain, and basically only shows whatever pertinent data that needs to be shown. The face of the watch could almost be mistaken for a regular watch, so this is the right choice if you’re looking for a basic multi-sport watch that can do the basics without being too over-the-top. To be sure, this watch won’t be able to compare to some of the other multi-sport watches that feature all sorts of bells and whistles when it comes to what they display on their screens, but it’s still fairly comparable with the other watches out there.
Band
The band on the Suunto Quest is made from a single construction, which adds greatly to its durability and reliability. Other bands might give out on you when put under pressure, but it’s very difficult for a band like this to come apart. There are individual slits down the entire length of the band that allow air to get in and out of the band itself, meaning that you’re going to get plenty of breathability out of this watch. Many other watches aren’t quite so breathable, which will ultimately lead to your wrists getting sweatier, with that sweat trapped underneath and becoming quite uncomfortable. This isn’t the case with the Suunto Quest.
Apps
Unfortunately, there isn’t much in the way of apps for the Suunto Quest, but that doesn’t stop the multi-sport watch from being quite connectable. You can easily use the watch to connect to third party sites that will allow you to track and monitor your data. Just because these things aren’t supported and made available by Suunto itself doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to find the same sort of functionality that other watches feature. You’ll just have to be on the lookout for other ways to get this information.
Sizes Available
You should know going in that the Suunto Quest is only offered in one size, but this one size will fit most people without a problem. Suunto definitely could have offered the watch in more than one size or featured a way of adjusting the sizing, but that would have likely increased the price, which Suunto apparently was not comfortable doing. Instead, you have a watch that will fit most wrists and appeal to the largest number of athletes.
Durability
The great thing about the Suunto Quest is that it’s built from a solid construction, so the chances of it breaking apart when exposed to stress are lower than if it would’ve been constructed from multiple pieces. The watchband is a solid material, and the screen is smaller than your average multi-sport watch, meaning that there’s less of a chance of it getting damaged. This also, of course, means that this watch would be great for use in a mud run, as you’d have less of a chance of breaking the watch. To be clear, the Suunto Quest isn’t invulnerable, but it definitely is a tough watch.
Price
In terms of price, as of this writing you probably won’t be going much beyond $200 in total. This is great when you consider that a lot of the multi-sport watches are simply not that reasonably priced. They may have a fancier design or interface when it comes to how the watch is actually used, but they also do come at a much higher price. You do get quite a bit out of the Suunto Quest for the price of the watch, but it definitely is not as feature rich as some of the other watches out there. With that said, the Suunto Quest is a great choice.
Bottom Line
The bottom line is this: The Suunto Quest is a multi-sport watch that has all of the features you’d want in a watch without the bloat and extra price that you’ll find in a lot of the other watches that are out there on the market. It’s got great third-party support, it can easily track all of your information in one place, and it’s offered at a price that you simply won’t see being offered for other watches of its kind. You really can’t go wrong with the Suunto Quest when it comes to a multi-sport watch.
