Comfort
The running pack or hydration belt is very comfortable in use due to the way it has been designed. It offers lightweight and ventilated material, and the dual water bottles are not obtrusive during runs nor too large to handle and be bogged down. They are the right size for long-running and can be refilled on the spot. The pack’s Jet-Squeeze caps on the water bottles also offer very easy access to water for comfortable running.;Regarding comfort in the design, the pockets provide plenty of room to hold valuables and secure items in place over the run. The main compartment expands, to accommodate more room to store items on longer runs. There is also another pocket to store items or valuables separately. To add comfort to the design, the pack’s belt is an AirStretch belt with a QR quick-release buckle.
Size
The hydration pack comes with a one-size-fits-all approach to its design, and it should be good enough or offer flexibility enough to fit most waist sizes. It weighs in at 9.6 ounces, and its dimensions are 14 x 6 x 5 inches. There should be plenty of pocket room with two different pockets and one specifically made for essential items such as phones and keys. There are even slots available for nutrition-based energy gels to latch onto and keep you not just hydrated, but also decently nutritious during your runs.
Accessories
What you see is what you get with the running pack. However, keep in mind that it comes with the two water bottles included, so all you need to do is fill them up and fasten them onto the RunLite Xtech Trail Plus.
Use
This hydration belt is a running belt with all the bases covered to keep you hydrated on short jogs or long runs. It offers not one, but two different places to keep your water on both sides of it and even comes with included water bottles. However, this isn’t all it does as it also comes with various pockets to keep valuables in as well as slots to keep energy gels connected, so that running will need to be interrupted for neither hydration nor nutrition.;The water bottles each offer 10.05oz of liquid, which isn’t a whole great deal of a lot for long-term hydration, but taken together it should fulfill most needs regarding running. They are also easily refillable on pit spots, so you can resume running. The other nice thing about the included water bottles is that they come with Jet-Squeeze caps for easy access during a run and are also magnetically attached to the pack.
Style
The running pack’s style may not appear to everyone. It isn’t the most pleasing design due to the color options as well as the two large water bottles coming out of its sides. However, it is more about function than form in this case as if you value comfort over looks, you will dig this pack. The water bottles may not look pretty, but they will keep you hydrated and get you from place to place while having pockets that offer plenty of room for your valuables.;There are two different purchase options for you to consider and they differ in color. One version is called slate and the other aqua. The slate variation has yellowish (from what it looks like in its image takes) water bottles and a lighter or slimmer design, while the aqua variation has a blue section, instead of black, in-between the logo as well as greyish, instead of black, around the underside with white and see-through water bottles. Keep in mind the image take may show a liquid inside, so the slate version’s water bottles may or may not be see-through.
Durability
This is a very durable bag due to being made out of firm material with a zipper in place. The material is a stretchy microfiber, which should last for the long run. The bottles are also magnetically attached, and the magnet is a very durable and long-lasting material. This isn’t the most expensive or robust regarding protection running belt on the market, however, so over time as with most such products made out of fiber, it will deteriorate.
Breathability
The waist pack is made out of very breathable and ventilated sections of material and this can be seen just looking at the way it has ventilation shafts within its sections. Near where the water bottles are there are particularly large openings or holes to let ventilation through and keep the pack as well as the runner cool. The main belt section is also very breathable and it is even called an AirStretch belt. It is made out of smooth, breathable, and stretchy microfiber.
Price
The pack isn’t terribly expensive, but it isn’t the cheapest offering out there either. This is understandable due to the fact it has the water bottles included in the design however and doesn’t require outside purchases or investment. It comes with everything you need with the possible exception of nutrition-based energy gels it has a section devoted to.
Bottom Line
If you are shopping for a running pack, at least consider this pack for its great hydration benefits. Most running belts and waist packs do not even include a single water-bottle holder or a way to keep you hydrated as they are designed just to hold valuables or personal items in place. This pack focuses on probably the number one most important thing to any runner, and this is to stay hydrated and have an optimal liquid intake during longer runs when exhaustion, as well as dehydration, can come into play. It is pretty affordable, offers two water bottles and has various pockets to also secure items in place, so the bases are all covered with this offering.
