Upper
It has a single fabric lining, completely eliminating seams that could potentially cause irritations. The collar of the shoe is snug around the ankle, providing a secure, but not overwhelmingly restrictive, fit. The overlays are printed directly onto the shoe, offering support and structure whilst reducing the overall weight. This also means fewer stitches and less irritation. Combining this with a bootie inside, and the shoe feels very luxurious and great on any feet. It has been placed on the interior of the shoes lining, with more of the 3D printed overlays on the outside of the shoe. Around the midfoot, the redesigned saddle has been made more flexible, and stronger, so again felt very comfortable. When comparing it to something like a Cumulus, it isn’t noticeable, but again, feels great.
Midsole
They use Brooks DNA cushioning through the entire length of the midsole. This material provides a great shock absorption and also provides the great responsiveness that shoe is known for. This therefore increases the cushioning of the shoe and creates a greater land down as one goes through the foot strike. The augmented usage of firmer midsole foam beneath the arch lends the Glycerin a feeling of stiffness, and the toe cushioning feels muted. The shoe has a soft inside liner which is nice for those that wear no socks because a rough liner can sometimes rub against your ankle skin and cause irritation.
Outsole
They have a rubber wear, which is immediately perceptible when the shoe is viewed, on the outer rear foot area and the under the forefoot. The hard heel rubber and the softer forefoot compound sticks well. The footwear of the shoe is has been made innovatively. The outsole is constructed with an advanced caterpillar crash pad.;The outsole retains the Omega Grooves for flexibility and guidance with an additional rubber compound which makes it more durable. There is no longer a rustic tongue in the middle, therefore, the width of the sole has changed and provides just as much torsional and mechanical support because of an increased ground contact area. The DNA cushioning found on the base works with the runner depending on the run. At a slower pace, runners can optimize the Glycerin’s 11 easy going, supple cushioning. When running uphill, it adjusts to the different weight pressure points.
Breathability
For breathability in this running shoe, they have a mesh upper that does a nice job at keeping one’s feet from overheating. On the inside of the shoe, there is a fine mesh liner that keeps most debris from getting in the shoe which is nice if you mix in a trail run in these shoes from time to time
Comfort
This shoe has a heavy and huge heel-to-toe drop of 10 millimeters which gives the feet a feeling of comfort. The shoes’ lacing system provides a precise and secure fit on the outside while the internal sleeve hugs the top of one’s foot from the inside which gives comfort. The heel counter also offers maximum structural support, and is extremely comfortable.
Style
In terms of color choices, the blue is pretty bright but it also probably makes for a good safe feature. The back of the shoe does contain a reflective patch as well. There are two color choices and some colors have wide /narrow width options. The lacing system provides a secure fit on the outside for someone. The shoes are a definite fashion statement.
Durability
The outsole of the shoe retained the preceding Omega Grooves that increases the shoes flexibility and guidance system and is integrated with rubber compound which makes it more durable. Brooks has gone above and beyond in proving their quality in this design. It has remarkable durability and is composed of high-quality materials.

The Brooks Glycerin line is known for its excellent cushioning, which is not only comfortable but protects your joints from the harsh impact of running on hard surfaces like asphalt and pavement. The outsole is a durable material too, protecting your underfoot. This shoe does a great job protecting feet if used for road running. It may not allow enough protection if taken on anything more technical than light, well-groomed trails.
