Upper
As is common among the most breathable of shoes, the Puma Faas 300 v4 utilizes Air Mesh technology in order to ensure that the upper is as breathable as it is responsive. The air is then able to enter into the shoe without any restrictions, leaving your feet cool and dry. The fit is quite comfortable. While retaining a close fit, it’s also not too restrictive. There’s also a sockliner that ensures you’ll have a close fit no matter what.
Midsole
The midsole on the Puma Faas 300 v4 utilizes what is known as FAAS Foam+, a type of foam that’s meant to make your ride a little smoother but bouncier. The cushioning runs the entire length of the shoe, which means you won’t have to worry about the possibility of having parts of your foot that aren’t fully covered. This particular feature has been praised as being more comfortable than other running shoes.
Outsole

There are few downsides to the Puma Faas 300 v4, making it an excellent choice for road running.

When you consider just how many features that the Puma Faas 300 v4 has, it seems pretty incredible that it would be offered at the price point it’s sold at. The shoe’s price ranges from around $65 to about $100. This doesn’t make the Puma Faas 300 v4 the cheapest running shoe, but it still is very reasonably priced.
Drop
The drop of the Puma Faas 300 v4 is 8mm for both the men’s and women’s versions of the shoe. Some runners may be accustomed to a slightly higher drop (a standard drop is 10mm). However, most runners can adjust to this slightly lower drop without any issues. It still provides a good amount of cushioning in the heel area, making it a good choice for heel strikers.
Stability
The shoe is quite stable without being too rigid, thanks in large part to the combination of having a thick and durable base of an outsole that’s then supplemented by dynamic flex grooves that ensure that the shoe is plenty competitive. We’ve talked about it earlier, but it bears repeating: the Puma Faas 300 v4 is superb in terms of flexibility. It has a number of flex grooves on the bottom of the shoe, simultaneously allowing the shoe to be very flexible while also staying very tough and durable. This is especially important on a roadrunner, as you need the shoe to be plenty flexible in order to keep up with the demands of the road as you’re running. As with the majority of the other aspects of the Puma Faas 300 v4, it’s quite flexible.
Traction
The traction on the Puma Faas 300 v4 is exceptional, thanks in large part to the two different types of rubber compounds that were used in the shoe’s outsole. This supportive base is then supplemented by a series of flex grooves that simultaneously make the shoe more flexible and give it traction too. The last thing you want is for a road runner to stand up just fine in good weather and then lose its grip on the pavement when it rains. Thankfully, that’s not a problem you have to worry about with the Puma Faas 300 v4.

When it comes to the Puma Faas 300 v4 as not just a road runner but as a running shoe is that it far surpasses what you’d typically expect from the average running shoe.
