They come with four additional sets of tips of various sizes in an effort to please every customer. They are covered in a silicone sleeve with tapered grooves. The fit is similar to tread on a tire, firm and solid. The thread-like grooves allow additional airflow to reduce sweat buildup and protect from rain.
