If you do not like the preset settings available to you, you have the ability to play with the settings to create your own personalized listening experience.

Connectivity

The JBL Everest Elite 100 Bluetooth headphones will easily connect to any Bluetooth enabled devices via Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The headphones generally connect fairly easily to mobile devices, although, there were a few complaints from customers who said that it was a bit laggy and took longer than they would have liked to get their phones to connect. You simply have to hold the button on the headphones to connect your phone until the voice in the headphones says that it is waiting to connect. Once you get that prompt you will be able to find your headphones on the device’s Bluetooth menu. Once you are connected your headphones will let you know and you will be good to go.

Ease of Use

These headphones are exceptionally easy to use for just about anyone. The JBL Everest Elite 100 Bluetooth headphones have buttons on the neckband that will allow you to control the volume of your music directly from the headphones instead of having to deal with the hassle of getting out your phone.;Reviews have not said much about the ability to connect your device to the headphones, just that at times it can be a little bit laggy. That being said, it seems pretty easy and self-explanatory. You simply hold the power button on the headset until you get the prompt that it is pairing. Once you hear that, you find the headphones on your mobile device through the Bluetooth menu. Once that is done you are connected and ready to go.

Power Source

The JBL Everest Elite 100 Bluetooth headphones are powered by a rechargeable battery. Customers have many complaints on the life of the battery. JBL does not have any mention about what the battery life of these is supposed to be, but according to customers, they do not hold a charge very well. After some time, the battery will last a shorter and shorter amount of time, and then some customers stated that they stopped holding a charge altogether.;The headphones charge via micro-USB cable, which is included in the package. If you find yourself needing a spare charging cord you can use any micro-USB cord to charge these. Something to note, however, is that you can wear these headphones and listen to music while they are plugged in. So, if you have to charge them and do not mind being plugged in, that is something that you can consider.

Sound Quality

There are mixed reviews regarding the sound quality of the JBL Everest Elite 100 Bluetooth headphones. The quality of the actual sound that emanates from the speakers of the headphones is not terrible when played at safe listening volumes. If the volume is turned up too high there is some distortion to the music, but that is too be expected in most headphones if you are listening at max level.;The biggest problem customers seem to have with the sound quality of these headphones actually comes from the noise canceling technology. Comments and reviews have stated that it seems like there is almost no noise canceling which was very disappointing to them, others stated that they would have liked to have seen the headphones cancel more of their background noise than they did.

Durability

Some customers have problems with the durability of the JBL Everest Elite 100 Bluetooth headphones. The battery life is poor, according to many reviews, and after only a few months of use, the headphones just stopped charging all together. Customers are very disappointed in the fact that they had to replace these so quickly.;The rest of the headphones, however, do hold up pretty well. The headphones themselves are made to not fall apart. There have been no reports on the neckband or the wires themselves breaking or falling apart. The fact that they are wireless also is favorable because you will not have to worry about the headphone jack breaking or becoming loose and unusable.

Price

The price of the JBL Everest Elite 100 Bluetooth headphones is something of a problem for customers if they are paying full price for them. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of these headphones is $199.95, which customers feel is too high for the poor experience they had with the headphones. That being said, you can find these headphones for much cheaper on sale on other sites. Customers have had fewer complaints about the money they paid for the headphones if they were able to get them for much cheaper than the MSRP.

Bottom Line

Customers have had many complaints about the battery life of these headphones, stating that they do not last very long and after a few months they just stop holding a charge altogether. The headphones can be reasonably priced if you find them for a cheaper price online, and if that is the case customers do not seem to have too much of a problem with how long they last. The headphones themselves are not that bad. They have a fairly good sound quality and they come with noise-canceling technology. Since these are the elite version of the headphones, they come with access to the JBL Headphone App which allows you to adjust the intensity of the noise canceling features, as well as play with the EQ settings to find the sound that best fits you. These are a pair of plain and simple headphones that can be used for just about any activity.

Summary
The JBL Everest Elite 100 Bluetooth headphones are a good pair of headphones to wear for going to the gym or out on a long run when you want some music to keep you company. The wireless feature is perfect for the gym because you will not have to worry about cords getting tangled and in your way when you are switching from one activity to another. The volume buttons on the neckband also come in handy. If you need to adjust the volume, or skip tracks, you do not need to pull your phone out, you can simply use these buttons and be done with it. There are, however, some problems customers have encountered with these headphones. They may be great at first, but after a couple charges the battery just does not seem to last very long and after a couple months, customers stated, the headphones will no longer hold a charge. This can be a problem because if you cannot charge your headphones then having a wireless pair becomes unusable and customers will have to replace them. These headphones have a relatively high price tag, but as with anything online you can find a better deal and pay significantly less. Customers have suggested that you should not pay full price for these headphones, but they are not bad if you can find them on sale. Other than the battery they are a decent device for everyday use.
